TradeTable — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026 · Version 1.0
This Privacy Policy explains how TradeTable LLC ("TradeTable," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the TradeTable website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (passwords are stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google; we do not receive or store your Google password.
- Collection and trade data: the cards, binders, notes, prices, and trade records you create, including the "honesty ledger" and any trade receipts.
- Photos: images you upload (for example, card or trade photos), stored in our cloud storage provider.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device data: basic log information such as IP address, browser/device type, and pages viewed, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies / similar technologies: we use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in) and essential functionality. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics cookies at this time.
Payment information:
- Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment-card number; Stripe handles that directly under its own privacy policy. We receive limited billing status information (e.g., whether a payment succeeded, subscription state).
2. How we use information
We use information to: create and manage your account; provide the Service's features (cataloging, reference pricing, and trade documentation); process and manage your subscription; communicate with you (including subscription acknowledgments and service notices); maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who operate the Service on our behalf (e.g., hosting, cloud storage, and Stripe for payments), under agreements that limit their use of it;
- with another user to the extent you choose to share a trade record with the person you trade with (a trade record is, by design, shared between the two participants);
- when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service; and
- in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets), subject to this Policy.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. You must be at least 13 to create an account (see the Terms of Use for age requirements). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate, disclosed purposes:
- Account and collection/trade data: kept while your account is active.
- After account deletion: we delete or de-identify your personal information within 90 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
- Backups: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our normal backup cycle.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit most of your information in the app, and you can delete your account at any time from your Account Settings or by emailing [email protected].
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these, contact [email protected].
- California residents: Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion, to opt out of "sales" (we do not sell personal information), and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To make a request, email [email protected].
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information (including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data location and transfers
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will notify you and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use after an update means you accept it.
